Super Mario Run Grosses $30 Million in 2 Weeks, Only 3M Downloaded Full Game

Super Mario Run launched back on December 15th of last year, but already in that short space of time, the mobile game sensation has grossed $30 million, according to analyst Newzoo via Wall Street Journal.

Since its launch late last year, Super Mario Run has been downloaded by players a whopping 90 million times, although, with only 3 million full purchases, representing a small percentage of its actual downloads.

While Nintendo’s latest craze has proved to be somewhat successful, it doesn’t match up to its previous hit, Pokemon Go, which managed to gross $200 million in just 32 days.

Super Mario Run will set you back $9.99 and is available currently for iOS, with an Android version of the game set to be released sometime this year.

Better known as RzrsS in the video game scene, Stephan Rodts has been playing video games for nearly his entire life. He started out shooting poor ducks out of the sky in Duck Hunt on the Nintendo, but now shoots everything that moves. Be warned.
