BioShock‘s open sequence is a thing of beauty.
Its first steps packed with intrigue and suspense as the player’s character Jack crashes into the Atlantic Ocean. His only comfort in the night, the bright beam of a lighthouse and the voice of the mysterious Atlas. The protagonist would go on to make his way forward into the lighthouse and from there BioShock‘s real journey begins inside Rapture, a dystopian themed underwater structure.
From the vision of director Ken Levine to the games excellent score constructed by Garry Schyman, BioShock set a true precedence for video games, a trilogy more than worthy of a revisit in high definition.
2K Games has released a new video that takes players back to where it all begin 9 years ago, with BioShock‘s undeniably brilliant opening moments. The short comparison video allows us to see the improvements made between 2007 and today. With 1080p graphics and running at 60FPS, BioShock: The Collection is one game you will want to visit this year.
