Saints Row IV Gets Steam Workshop Support 3 Years after Its Release

More than 3 years after its release, Saints Row IV is now receiving support for Steam Workshop on PC, with players allotted freedom to create and install mods that add new weapons, clothing in addition to altering the way they play the game.

Implementing Steam Workshop support for Saints Row IV was a series of challenges, with the game not originally designed with modding in mind. Developer Volition described it as “a labor of love,” and had been working closely with the modding community to develop tools while adapting the games code.

This was all built for the fans who have shown an incredible amount of passion and creativity over the years, and we can’t wait to see what kind of crazy content they come up with.” said the developer.

In order to access mods for Saints Row IV head over to the community hub in your Steam client, click the Workshop tab and begin browsing. Once you find a mod you, like simply hit the Subscribe button to begin installing it.

Additionally, to celebrate its introduction for Steam Workshop Saints Row IV is currently discounted at 75% off for the remainder of this week and the entirety of next.
