Possible Left 4 Dead 3 Accidently Leaked By Valve Employee

A third game in the massively popular survival horror shooter franchise Left 4 Dead has been accidently leaked by one of Valve’s employees.

On June 29th, Tristan Reidford, who works for Left 4 Dead developers Valve as a conceptual artist posted an asset importing tutorial on the official Valve developer blog. During Reidford’s detailed walkthrough, the artist showcased screenshots from his more recent personal folders, one of which included a folder titled “left4dead3”. The image in question can be clearly seen below.

Tristan Reidford’s seemingly honest mistake is just the latest in a long line of major hints dropped by Valve regarding the possibility of Left 4 Dead 3 and was further strengthened by the fact the artist himself had been spending a considerable amount of time playing Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam recently, with the games beta also receiving frequent updates of late, an odd occurrence considering the game was released 7 years ago.

Is it possible that Valve employees are using 2009’s Left 4 Dead 2 as inspiration for an upcoming third game or working on Left 4 Dead 3 under the moniker of a previous game? The image (above) was quickly replaced after the videos initial release with a new image appearing, minus one “left4dead3” folder.
