Minecraft Inspired Free-To-Play MMO ‘Trove’ Coming To Consoles In 2016

Trion Worlds free-to-play Minecraft inspired adventure MMO Trove is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016, the developer has announced.

Trove is a free-to-play sandbox title eerily similar to that of Mojang’s Minecraft, offering players both the crafting freedom of Minecraft with RPG elements such as weapons, monsters and loot, Trove will be available on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

Initially launched for PC and Mac one year ago today Trove has already attracted over five million players worldwide and recently released its first full expansion, Mantle of Power earlier this year.

“We want to be everywhere that gamers are, and consoles are an important part of that strategy,” said Scott Hartsman, CEO at Trion Worlds. “Trove is ideal for PS4 and Xbox One. From its fast paced gameplay to its extremely broad appeal, we expect Trove to be a hit with console gamers of all kinds.”
