Eddie “The Eagle” Takes Flight yet Again for Ubisoft Steep Challenge

Former British Olympian Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards is no stranger to setting records but more recently the daredevil set an unlikely new record, becoming the first person to play a video game whilst in a wind tunnel.

The former olympian was put to the test by Ubisoft who challenged him to play their latest upcoming extreme sports game Steep whilst braving wind speeds of up to 90mph whilst suspended in mid-air, he was joined by two professional skydivers with Eddie taking a medal place in the Mount Blanc wingsuit race challenge.

When asked about the challenge Eddie replied: “I couldn’t wait to give it a go. I love a challenge but this was unlike anything I’d ever tried before. As soon as I started playing, I was determined to glide past that finishing line.”

A video of the challenge can be seen below:

Players will be able to hit the slopes or take to the air in Steep launching on December 2nd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
