Dear Esther: Landmark Edition Available September 20th For Xbox One And PS4

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One September 20th, The Chinese Room and publisher Curve Digital have today confirmed.

The console version of Dear Esther features both graphical and gameplay improvements along with brand new Directors’ Commentary, which sees the game’s original development team of Jessica Curry, Dan Pinchbeck and Rob Briscoe reunited for the first time in years.

First released in 2008 as a free-to-play game before its commercial release in 2012 for PC, Dear Esther is a narrative adventure that takes place on an uninhabited Hebridean island, upon which a lone man must piece together the chain of events which lead to his wife’s death.

After its release in 2012, Dear Esther received largely positive reviews with IGN scoring the game 8/10, stating that Dear Esther, “will leave you feeling edified, contemplative, and possibly even emotionally moved.”, elsewhere Game Informer scored the game 9/10.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition is available September 20th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will cost  £7.99/$9.99/€9.99.
