A possible remaster or port of Capcom’s 2006 Zombie slogfest Dead Rising could soon be heading to the PS4, according to popular Trophy/Achievement website Exophase.
A recent update on the site reveals a Trophy list for Dead Rising on PS4, with 44 Bronze, 3 Silver, 3 Gold and a Platinum Trophy available for a total of 51 Trophies. The appearance of Dead Rising‘s list could point to the imminent arrival of one of Capcom’s finest titles on PS4, although it is unclear at this time whether it will be a straight port or remastered version of the 2006 classic.
Developed and published by Capcom, Dead Rising was only made available on Xbox 360 in 2006, unlike sequel – Dead Rising 2, which made its way over to the PS3 back in 2010.
Microsoft has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Capcom to bring Dead Rising titles exclusively to Xbox, which saw all but one Dead Rising game fail to ever reach PS3 or PS4. After Dead Rising 4′s E3 announcement in June we learned that the fourth installment in the survival horror franchise would be a timed exclusive for one year on Xbox One before heading to PlayStation 4, seemingly bucking the trend.
Dead Rising 1, often regarded as the best game in the series follows Photojournalist and all round Zombie slaying, good guy Frank West who finds himself trapped inside a large shopping mall in Willamette, Colorado, which has been quarantined by the Military.
Produced by legendary developer Kenji Inafune, Dead Rising‘s possible arrival on the PlayStation 4 would be a real coup for Sony, although at this time it has not been confirmed by either Capcom or SCEE.
