Call of Duty: Black Ops III has become the sixth title from the same franchise to claim the coveted Christmas No.1 spot as the UK Chart top five remains the same. The fight was between Black Ops III, FIFA 16 and Star Wars Battlefront but the sales for the popular shooter jumped the highest margin out of the three possible Christmas No.1 contenders, up 33%. Despite missing out on No.1, Star Wars Battlefront does take the honour of EA’s biggest selling title this week, holding on to No2 ahead of FIFA 16, which holds it’s place at No.3.
A price promotion on Fallout 4 was not enough for it to crash the party, remaining at No4 with Minecraft Story Mode sitting in 5th for a second straight week. Just Cause 3 drops one place to No.7, while Grand Theft Auto V and ‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege are both non-movers at No’s 8 and 9 respectively. A jump of one place is enough to ensure Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection re-enters the Top 10 at No.10.
