E3 2016: New Horizon: Zero Dawn Gameplay Footage Showcases Machine Hunting

A spectacular new gameplay demo of Horizon: Zero Dawn was shown during Sony Computer Entertainments E3 Conference today.

The new trailer for the PlayStation 4 Exclusive showcases the game’s main character hunting machines in the wild. The female character uses a scanning ability to find a weak spot on her enemy, proceeding to engage it in combat once she has gained sufficient information. The lush and beautiful fields of the game are shown in earnest, displaying the graphical prowess of the PlayStation 4.

A conversation between the main character and a character named Crown is shown and during it, we see that interactions with characters have branching conversations. A small piece of the in-game menu and map also feature, Horizon: Zero Dawn’s map looks enormous from what were shown.

The destination is too far for the character to arrive quickly on foot so we are shown a hacking mechanic to override one of the machines and use it as a mount. Once the character arrives at the village, we are shown a large portion of the games combat mechanics which include multiple skill, gun play and the ability to slow time.
