Call of Duty: Black Ops III developers, Treyarch have revealed the Xbox One and PC release date for Eclipse, the second piece of downloadable content for Black Ops III. Eclipse will be available May 19th, after launching on PlayStation 4 last month. Following on from Awakening, Eclipse adds four new multiplayer maps: Verge. Rift, Spire, and Knockout as well as Zetsubou No Shima, the next chapter in the Zombies saga.
Eclipse will be available to purchase as a separate download or for players who purchased Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Season Pass.
Yesterday, Activision’s publishing boss, Eric Hirshberg announced during an investor call that there will be two more Black Ops III content drops to come in 2016. When asked about the high amount of dislikes for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s reveal trailer, Hirshberg responded “We have more people playing Black Ops 3 than any title in our history, and this is despite the number of initial dislikes the reveal trailer reveal received. Like Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare is set in the future. If we never took creative risks we wouldn’t have a franchise.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops III Eclipse DLC is available May 19th on Xbox One and PC.
