Daedalic Entertainment Studio West has revealed the first four characters of their space-exploration RPG, The Long Journey Home, coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
The introduced characters include Benoit Verdier, a former child prodigy who grew up believing himself to be the best at everything, Malcolm Winters, a former pilot and current US military liaison to IASA, Nikolay Lebedev, Russian lead researcher on the KNOSSOS project that created the Daedalus’ jump drive and Zoe Creed a young Australian science blogger assigned to the ship for PR purposes, in the hope of helping IASA get more attention.
Daedalic Entertainment Studio West will be showcasing gameplay from The Long Journey Home as well as introducing more characters during PAX East, taking place this weekend in Boston, MA.
The Long Journey Home is a Space Exploration RPG that combines the best of classic space adventures like Starflight and Star Control II with the replayability of modern roguelikes, in a procedurally generated, endlessly surprising living universe inspired by beloved modern Science Fiction shows like Farscape and Firefly.
The Long Journey Home will be available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Mac and Linux later in 2016.
