Xbox Celebrate Their 15 Year Anniversary Today

Xbox is celebrating the 15th Anniversary since the launch of the original Xbox today, with notable Xbox figureheads changing their profile pictures across social media to mark the occasion.

Speculation has been rampant across social media from Reddit to Twitter, with users holding out for and praying that there will be some big announcement made to celebrate the anniversary, with some users suggesting that we may be seeing some form of backwards compatibility with the original Xbox and others suggesting that we may be seeing some notable additions to the 360 backwards compatible library.

With Mass Effect 2 and 3 hitting backwards compatibility just last week it would not be a surprise if the Xbox team have one or two final tricks up their sleeves, maybe Black Ops 2? Maybe a new announcement entirely or maybe nothing at all?

We will be sure to keep you all informed of any announcements to rumours as and if they arrive.

However, let us momentarily forget all of these rumours and speculation and celebrate 15 years of gaming with Xbox.
