WWE 2K17 Gets Information On Gameplay, Career Mode, Creation Suite And New Promo Engine

2K Games has today shared the first feature set details for WWE 2K17, coming to Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 11th, 2016.

Mark Little – Executive Producer at Visual Concepts provided new information on many of the games modes including new features for WWE 2K17‘s Career Mode and Creation Suite along with the introduction of a brand new Promo Engine.

On improving WWE 2K17‘s core gameplay Little said, “we’ve shifted the gameplay experience focus from an arcade-centric, fighting game style to simulation-based gameplay, and WWE 2K17 continues pushing in that direction with both improved and new gameplay mechanics“.

WWE 2K17 will also see the return of playable backstage and crowd areas, an area that 2K Games and Visual Concepts has addressed after fan requests to see the popular feature return.

Improvements have been made to many of the games featured areas including Creation Suite, which will now contain many more parts, adjustment options and elements like body hair added, in addition to a ‘Highlight Replay system’, which allows players to record video highlights from their matches and use that content to create entrance videos with WWE 2K17’s ‘Create a Video’ feature. Little also revealed another new feature titled ‘Create a Victory’, which ensures that every player can create the most comprehensive WWE experience possible.

WWE Universe Mode’s new Show Presentation system makes players feel like they are playing through a weekly episode of any RAW, Smackdown or NXT with Visual Concepts adding more intrigue and possibilities by incorporating run-ins, as well as pre- and post-match attacks.

Little spoke about the introduction of a brand new Promo Engine that will allow Superstars to express their thoughts and emotions to the WWE Universe and to one another. “The Promo Engine creates a new dynamic and brings the experience closer to the actual WWE than ever before”. Visual has completely revamped Universe Mode cutscenes, including familiar and brand new scenarios.

MyCareer also receives a makeover with some new and exciting features. Backstage interviews will now take on a whole new dimension with WWE 2K17‘s new backstage brawling gameplay. In WWE 2K17, how a player competes, reacts, what is said and even the attire worn will likely make a difference to the Superstar’s journey throughout the WWE, with confrontations shaping a player’s future career growth in the WWE.

WWE 2K17 is available October 11th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
