Blood and Wine, the final expansion for CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to release sometime during the first half of this year, and although no official release date has been confirmed developers, the studio has revealed the cover art for the upcoming expansion via social media.
Additionally, a games store has also reportedly leaked the cover art for The Witcher 3 Blood & Wine for the PS4, with the image seen below showing the upcoming expansion to come with two Gwent card decks, a total of 154 cards.
Senior Story Writer Jakub Szamalek recently stated:
“Blood and Wine is an independent history, not particularly closely related with the main plot of the Wild Hunt. Thanks to the experience and feedback received since the game is on sale, we believe that we managed to achieve something even better than the main game.”
Blood and Wine will be the last expansion to be released by CD Projekt Red for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as the developer begins to turn its full attention to Cyberpunk 2077.
