During Sony Computer Entertainments PS4 Pro announcement in New York City last night, it was revealed that The Elder Scrolls Online will be one of the first titles to support the new PS4 Pro at launch via free game update.
“We were excited to participate in the event and show off The Elder Scrolls Online running live in the arcade area in beautiful 4K,” said the publisher.
Bethesda has since released a trailer showcasing The Elder Scrolls Online in 4K which you can check out below.
The Elder Scrolls Online will be immediately playable in native 4K resolution upon the launch of PS4 Pro in November, whether purchased new, or with existing game discs. Since the game was originally designed for a wide range of PC specifications, ZeniMax Online Studios was able to scale up the presentation alongside the scaled up power of the PlayStation 4 Pro. For players, it means if you play The Elder Scrolls Online on the PlayStation 4 Pro with a 1080p HD television, players will experience increased graphical fidelity; if a player uses a 4K monitor, the game will automatically run in 4K.
