Unreal Engine Creator to share “State of Unreal” at GDC; Will be “most newsworthy hour”

Epic Games, the company behind Unreal Engine have shared more on their plans for this years Games Development Conference, which takes place in San Francisco, CA from March 14th through to the end of the expo on March 18th.

In it’s latest Unreal Blog Post Epic Games revealed that they will be live streaming a very special event entitled -State of Unreal: Epic Games Opening Session, which will be streamed via Twitch on Wednesday, March 16th at 9.30am PT.

Epic Games are dubbing the stream as its “most newsworthy hour”. Previous GDC Events with this particular timeslot has seen Epic Games launch Unreal Engine 4 as well as announce a new subscription model, only to then drop the subscription in favour of the current free version seen today.

Elsewhere, Epic Games will be running sessions throughout the conference including sessions on Virtual Reality and upcoming MOBA Paragon. A full list of playable games can be found below including the first chance to play both Obduction and Astroneer publicly.
