Donut Drake

There Will Be No Donut Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

One of Uncharted’s most memorable in-game jokes will not be making an appearance in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which is to appear on your PlayStation 4 and video game store shelves on may 10.

During an interview with GamesRader, creative director Neil Druckmann claimed the reason behind the decision was simply because he “didn’t want to have a laugh at someone’s expense.”

“I thought we’d matured beyond that,” He later stated. Despite having the character model already finished, the team debated and eventually felt “we weren’t comfortable having it in our game.”

Despite this being a very minor issue, I mean, nobody loses out on any important story-telling or important content, it’s rather humorous to see maturity being mentioned as a reason, given that the game will still include many real-life issues such as murder of all sorts.
