Battlefield 1 Misses Out On GOTY Nomination As The Game Award 2016 Nominees Announced

The nominees for this years The Game Awards have been revealed.

Uncharted 4: A Thieves End, Inside, Titanfall 2, Overwatch and DOOM will battle it out this year for Game of the Year with EA DICE’s Battlefield 1 surprisingly missing out on a nomination for one of the biggest prizes in the industry.

The much-coveted award won by CD Projekt RED for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015 recognises the game that “delivers the absolute best experience across all creative and technical fields.”

Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thieves End picked up the most nods of the 63 nominated games with eight most notably Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction and Best Narrative. Overwatch, Firewatch and Playdead’s Inside all received 5 nominations with Sony the most nominated publisher.
