The Flame in the Flood is a rogue-lite river journey through the backwaters of a forgotten, post-societal America. Forage, craft, outwit predators and brave the rapids as you make your way down the procedurally generated river. What makes the game even more intriguing is the fact that the world was designed by the same people who worked on Bioshock and Bioshock infinite and with a soundtrack composed by alt-country star, Chuck Ragan, it’s definitely worth checking out for that alone.
Ahead of its release on February 24th, a new trailer which gives players an insight into the wildlife they will encounter has been released.
It’s dangerous to go alone, but fear not as you will be accompanied by your trusted companion, Aesop because we can’t get enough of travelling dangerous worlds with nothing but a helpful, sometimes vicious dog at our side. He will help by being cute (of course), sniffing out and gathering supplies which will prove essential to staying warm, fed and more importantly, alive.
The Flame in the Flood lands on Xbox One, PC and Mac on February 24, 2016.
