Battlefront Beta

Star Wars Battlefront Beta reaches 9 million users

The Star Wars Battlefront Beta has been confirmed as a huge success with EA DICE announcing more than 9 million people had logged into and played the Beta over the last few days. With Battlefront Senior producer Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir claiming it as, “the single largest beta in the history of EA”

Despite the anticipated heavy overload of players and fans of the iconic franchise, the Beta held up rather well and has proven to be a huge success across the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC with players eagerly looking to grab a short glimpse at a couple of the multiplayer modes the game has to offer, including Drop Zone, a mode in which opposing teams fight over dropped Pods,

Senior Producer Ingvarsdottir had the following to say on the regarding the success of the Beta,

“Ever since we revealed Star Wars Battlefront back in April, we knew the beta would be a huge test for our game,” she wrote. “After all, the beta has been one of the most talked about topics around the game over the last six months, and it was exciting (and a little nerve racking if I’m being completely honest) to open it up to the world.

“And like Han Solo at the end of A New Hope, we’re glad you showed up. Even more importantly than just showing up, you’ve been spending a lot of time playing, having a great time and leaving us some invaluable feedback, as we continue to tune and balance the game until launch.

“On behalf of the team at DICE, and everyone at EA, thank you for playing.”

Star Wars Battlefront launches for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 17th.
