RollerCoaster Tycoon World heads to Early Access, Release Date Confirmed

After Beta testing and delays, Atari’s  finally has a release date. However, it will now launch through Steam Early Access on March 30, 2016. Fred Chesnais, Chief Executive Officer for Atari shared the reasons behind the decision to launch the latest RollerCoaster game through Early Access “The RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise is beloved by millions of fans worldwide, which is something we take very seriously. After careful consideration, the decision to go through the Steam Early Access program was made to ensure that we can get RollerCoaster Tycoon World in the hands of the dedicated fans that have followed us throughout the development process as soon as possible”

Fans can take part in Early Access starting Wednesday, March 30th by purchasing RollerCoaster Tycoon World through the official Steam page.


During the Early Access period, participants will help shape the final details of RollerCoaster Tycoon World and provide invaluable input as the title rolls to a full launch. As we are not yet feature complete, fans can expect a number of new features, optimizations, and enhancements to be released during and after the Early Access period. These include, but are not limited to, Dark Rides, Transport Rides, and Piece by Piece Custom Built Structures.

Throughout 2016, Atari and developer, Nvizzio Creations will be bringing several free content updates – including Piece-by-Piece Coaster Building, Tunnels, Dark Rides, Transportation Rides, Weather, and more. For more on upcoming updates, check out the official RollerCoaster Tycoon World blog.

RollerCoaster Tycoon World will be available in a Standard Version for $49.99 USD and Deluxe Edition for $59.99 USD.
