Resident Evil 7 “In Development, To Be Announced At E3 2016” Says CEO

Capcom’s, Resident Evil 7 is already in development and will be announced at this year’s E3, according to Dr. Serkan Toto, CEO of Tokyo-based game industry consultancy, Kantan.

Often a reliable source, Dr. Toto took to Twitter today to share some information regarding Resident Evil 7, stating that the game was already “in development” and that the seventh title in the popular franchise would be going back to “RE’s roots”.

He would also go on to say that the team behind Resident Evil 7 had hired Jordan Amaro, a level designer with previous work including Konami’s, Metal Gear Solid V as well as Hideo Kojima’s ill-fated P.T. Resident Evil 7 will also be shown by Capcom at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles, if Doctor Toto is to be believed.

Of course, this is pure speculation at this time with Capcom yet to make any announcement regarding the development of Resident Evil 7, the company will attend E3 in June, where we will no doubt find out more about the companies future titles.
