After announcing a delay earlier this year, Red Barrels is currently developing Outlast 2, an indirect sequel to 2013’s successful survival horror game of the same name, which is now scheduled to release during Q1 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
The Montreal-based studio, who failed last week in its bid to raise $40,000CAD through Crowdfunding website Kickstarter for its satire project ‘Underscares’, teased a new image for Outlast 2 on Twitter that showcases a grisly human slaughterhouse scene, with what appears to be a new enemy we’ve yet to learn about.
The latest graphic image (seen below) shows an enemy to be holding possibly a weapon or even a body part in its left hand to the backdrop of meat hooks with horrid body parts attached. At the right side of the image, a dead corpse rests in an upright position while a pair of cracked glasses can also be seen on the floor below the body at the bottom of the picture.
Outlast 2 is scheduled to release for PS4, Xbox One and PC in Q1 2017.
