No Man’s Sky Becomes Sony’s 2nd Best Launch For PS4 Behind Uncharted 4, Biggest Launch For A New I.P

No Man’s Sky has become Sony Computer Entertainment’s 2nd biggest ever launch for the PS4 after taking the No.1 spot in the latest standings of the UK All Format Charts.

Hello Games Sci-Fi epic is second only to Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in terms of launch sales for the current generation console, while No Man’s Sky also became Sony Computer Entertainment’s biggest launch for a new I.P.

When compared to past new I.P’s across all publishers and Sony formats, No Man’s Sky currently sits 5th behind Bungie’s Destiny, Watch Dogs, The Getaway and The Last of Us (PS3).

With the Olympics getting underway in Rio last week, Mario & Sonic: Rio 2016 Olympic Games climbs an impressive 8 places to No.15 on Wii U, the game’s highest ever chart position since making its debut.
