Ghost Theory, a first-person adventure horror game based on ghost hunting and paranormal research, featuring haunted locations from around the world has returned to KickStarter today, with Prague-based developers, Dreadlocks looking to raise £50,000 over the next 29 days.
With its gameplay focused on stealth and exploration, Ghost Theory is a single-player ghost-hunting adventure that will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and is being developed for advanced VR Support.
Each mission within Ghost Theory is an open-ended haunted ground – a playable sandbox with its own story waiting to be unearthed. The games university acts as a home base for players, where work can be evaluated, results assessed before players are briefed ahead of their next mission.
The use of vital paranormal equipment including a Full Spectrum Camera and EMF (ElectroMagnetic Field) Meter are made available to players as they explore each mission to give the game an authentic feel. Ghost Theory also features real-world haunted locations from around the globe including the infamous Goldfield Hotel in the United States, Poveglia island in Italy and Aokigahara’s infamous Suicide Forest in Japan all available to explore.
