How to add a prop to your Xbox One gamerpic with Windows 10

Gamer pictures have been pretty boring lately. Since moving to the Xbox One where avatars seem to have taken a backseat and giant pictures of Pandas, weird Alien like creatures and a smiling T-Bone Steak have become the norm among your friends. Taking a gamerpicture of your avatar on your Xbox One consists of just choosing from a variety of poses and backgrounds, which doesn’t leave you with a lot of options. Especially if you have some really cool props.

Below I will show you how you can make the most of your gamerpic and express yourself in any way you like using an app called Xbox Avatars which is completely free to install and use on your PC or tablet.

Step 1: Go to the store and search for Xbox Avatars.

Step 2: Once it’s installed customise your virtual you in any way you desire, choosing from your current selection of items or purchasing something new for your shiny new gamerpic.

Step 3: Select take a photo, select picture size and choose “Gamerpic” then select the background you want.

Step 4: Click on animations and then click the play button on the bottom of the screen. Your chosen prop should appear and your avatar will interact with it.

Step 5: Using the zoom in and out feature on the right hand side of the screen,  zoom in and out until you’re happy with how the picture will look. You can also spin your avatar around in a full circle.

Step 5: Click on the camera, and if you’re happy choose save as gamerpic. It will take up to five minutes for all the pictures you have on and your console to update.

Step 6: You have a shiny new gamerpicture and will be the envy of all your friends.
