GTA Online Update introduces Drop Zone Mode and Race Cars, Double RP all this weekend

As of today, players can freefall their way into the Drop Zone with the latest addition to Grand Theft Auto Online for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The new Adversary Mode see’s teams of paratroopers leaping from Cargobobs hovering high above, before racing to the ground to seize and keep control of a small, exposed patch of terra firma. Trying to go it alone and being a hero simply isn’t an option with communication key, you and your squad mates will need to attack and defend together as a unit.

With four teams competing against one another and up to sixteen players honed in on the same target area, Drop Zone is sure to be fast, frantic, chaotic while also prone to huge swings in fortune with the first team to successful hold the Drop Zone for a total of two non-continuous minutes declared the winner. There are five different Drop Zone maps to partake in, each requiring a unique approach to deal with changes to terrain and cover. The five Drop Zone maps can be found across Los Santos at Pillbox Hill, Richman College, Elysian Island, the Mirror Park cul-de-sac and the Sisyphus Theater.


As well as the introduction of Drop Zone, new Vehicles and upgrades have been added over at Benny’s, who is branching out with new upgrade types for two new cars. Purchase the Karin Sultan and Bravado Banshee at a low entry price in the updated Stock section of

Take the rides to Benny’s garage for upgrades into high-performance, wide body race cars and take advantage of the range of upgrades exclusive to Benny’s. Once fully modded, the Sultan RS and the Banshee 900R are even able to compete with top bracket Supercars like the Zentorno and T20.


Double RP Weekend is also upon us in the wild and frantic world of GTA Online with lots to offer from today (29th January) running to the 31st, which includes the chance to earn extra RP in the new game mode Drop Zone.
