GTA Online has made an insane amount of profit from microtransactions

Whether you love them or hate them, microtransactions are here to stay and it’s easy to see why with GTA Online earning Rockstar a reported $500 million dollars.

The mind-blowing sum was revealed in documents for the lawsuit against Take-Two by former Rockstar North president Leslie Benzie (he claims he is owed $150 million in royalties).

The lawsuit states “GTA Online has the potential to achieve the greatest profit margin of any game created in the GTA franchise,” It also reveals that GTA Online has “nearly 100 percent profit margin,”

With more than 8 million gamers playing every week, and Rockstar hosting new events and content on a regular basis, I’m sure this number will rapidly increase.
