Five Nights at Freddy’s Series Being Remade For Consoles, Creator “It Will Happen”

Independent horror sensation, Five Nights at Freddy’s could soon be heading to current generation consoles, series creator, Scott Cawthon has revealed through the Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 Steam Forum. When asked about the possibility of the popular series coming to consoles Cawthon responded, “Actually, yes! It will happen. I’m talking with a few companies who are interested in doing console remakes of the original games” He would go on to state that if and when Five Nights at Freddy’s does indeed make its way from steam to consoles, that the games wouldn’t be ported “The games will not be ported, they will be remade”.

Developed and published by Cawthon, Five Nights at Freddy’s became an overnight sensation on steam and YouTube after its initial release back in August of 2014. To date, there are four Five Nights at Freddy’s games available with Five Nights at Freddy’s World removed from steam by Cawthon himself after the game was released in an unfinished state, missing certain key features.

It’s currently unclear what consoles the Five Nights at Freddy’s series would come to with Wii U, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 all likely destinations.
