Open-World Adventure Game Firewatch Coming To Xbox One September 21st

Campo Santo has announced that its acclaimed open-world adventure game Firewatch, previously available for PS4 and PC will arrive for Xbox One on September 21st.

In addition to releasing the main game for Xbox One, the developer will also add Firewatch Audio Tour, a free update which the studio plan to discuss more on September 3rd.

“The short version: one part scavenger hunt, one part museum tour, one part game dev workshop, mixed with a dash of inside Campo Santo goofs. We think you will like it very much.” said the developer in a blog post.

Lastly, Firewatch will receive a new mode in the form of free roam, which will allow players to live and explore in Shoshone with a full day/night cycle and hidden secrets.

In our Firewatch review writer Paul Policarp scored the game 7/10 stating:

“Firewatch goes miles beyond what many “walking simulators” before it have and remembers that player choice and player interaction go a long way towards making a video game engaging. It looks and feels excellent and does its job of being a worthwhile experience despite its shortcomings”
