Final Fantasy XV Fastest Selling Title in Series History; 5M+ Copies Sold Worldwide

Final Fantasy XV only launched a couple days ago (Tuesday, November 29th) for Xbox One and PS4, but it is already made a significant mark on the market, with over 5 million copies sold worldwide, Square Enix announced.

Final Fantasy XV‘s impressive sales figures take into account both retail and digital sales, making the fifteenth installment in the highly popular franchise the fastest selling since the franchise first began in 1987.

In Japan, Final Fantasy XV boasts the highest recorded day one digital copies sold, whilst in Asia (excluding Japan) the game had both the highest recorded amount of retail copies shipped and digital copies sold.

Thanks, Gematsu.
