Everspace Closed Alpha on PC begins April 29, includes Oculus Rift support

Independent developers, Rockfish Games has today announced a closed alpha for the studios roguelike space shooter Everspace for PC, beginning April 29th. Everspace became the most funded German game after a successful Kickstarter campaign, reaching €420,252 of a €250,000 goal. Rockfish were given a boost with Chris Roberts, CEO of the Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games lending a hand towards the end.

Everspace’s closed alpha will also be an opportunity for backers to experience the space shooter in VR fans, with basic Oculus Rift support available throughout. the closed alpha is also offering basic Oculus Rift support.

Rockfish also announced a closed beta for Everspace which is planned for the end of July, which will also include support for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive as well as Mac and Linux.

Players looking to participate in the upcoming closed alpha or the closed beta can secure access up until April 30 via Everspace’s pre-sale through the official website.

Everspace is also being developed for Xbox One through the ID@Xbox program.
