Dark Souls 3 and Overwatch Win Big at the Golden Joystick Awards

With the 34th Golden Joystick Awards now over and the winners announced it’s clear to see Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch dominated this year’s ceremony picking up 5 Awards as From Softwares Dark Souls 3 walked away with the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year award.

Other notable winners of the evening include CD Projekt RED whose Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3 collected 2 awards for storytelling and visual design while the Polish developer also won best studio of the year, Campo Santo’s excellent Firewatch scooped the award for best indie game of 2016, while Stardew Valley picked up a well deserved Breakthrough Award.

With some of this year’s biggest games yet to release such as The Last Guardian, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Final Fantasy XV next year’s lineup is already shaping up to be as strong.
