Cuphead launches 2016 Exclusively for Xbox One and PC

Studio MDHR has announced that it’s 1930’s inspired run and gun cartoon title Cuphead will officially launch in 2016, exclusively for the Xbox One and PC. Originally announced during Microsoft’s 2014’s E3 Conference in Los Angeles, Cuphead had been slated for a possible 2015 release with the developers now confirming Cupheads launch for 2016.

A statement on the developer’s website reads:

We know we said that Cuphead would be out in 2015 and now we’re saying that Cuphead will be out in 2016. We’re sorry. But this Cuphead isn’t that Cuphead. This Cuphead is so much better. With Microsoft helping us out, we are able to push the art further, refine the mechanics more, and deliver the Cuphead game we’ve always dreamed of. In development, time is our greatest asset, and pushing the release to 2016 allows us to make for the best game possible.

Since it’s original announcement at E3 in 2014, Cuphead has captivated gamers imagination worldwide with its unique aesthetic, fast-paced challenging action with original jazz compositions played live throughout.

A new trailer for Cuphead was showcased at E3 which you can check out below.
