CD Projekt Red Register Trademark For Gwent The Witcher Card Game

A trademark filed by Witcher developers, CD Projekt Red with the EU Intellectual Property Office has revealed a possible Gwent standalone title – Gwent The Witcher Card Game.

A NerdLeaks report earlier today indicates that the popular card game played throughout The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt could very well soon be getting a standalone game, with card games currently experiencing large success recently it’s entirely possible that a standalone Gwent game could launch for PC and Consoles in the near future.

gwent2y6ufwDespite currently developing Cyberpunk 2077, Polish-based developers, CD Projekt Red did reveal during its recent annual report that the studio had future plans to announce “a new type of video game format previously unexplored by the studio” at this year’s E3 held at the Convention Center in Los Angeles, could a Gwent spin-off game be that announcement?.
