Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trilogy Heading To Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

A trilogy bundle for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series has been confirmed for a May 17th 2016 release, according to a well-known online retailer, however, it might not be what fans expected. Retailer, Best Buy are offering the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Trilogy for $29.99 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

After the recent announcement that Infinity Ward’s, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare would release alongside a remastered version of the original Modern Warfare, rumours of a Modern Warfare Trilogy appeared to be laid to rest, with the recent confirmation, that appears now to not be the case as you can see in the image below.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered 'Crew Expendable' Gameplay Trailer Revealed

The latest move by publishers, Activision is sure to further puzzle Call of Duty fans, following the news that Modern Warfare Remastered would not be sold separate from Infinite Warfare and would only be included with certain editions of the game.

Fans might have expected a ported or remastered trilogy for the current generation consoles – Xbox One and PlayStation, although a move to release the trilogy on the older generation consoles may have been taken due to the next title in the franchise not appearing on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Since the release of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s reveal trailer, fans have openly voiced their displeasure at the route the popular shooter franchise is heading, sticking with a once more futuristic setting. While DICE’s Battlefield 1 has enjoyed a lot of praise for both look and setting.
