Castlevania’s Spiritual Successor ‘Bloodstained’ Gets Publishing Deal With 505 Games

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and famed Castlevania: Symphony of the Night developer Koji Igarashi has announced a publishing deal with 505 Games to release the game across multiple platforms.

Regarded as a spiritual successor to the iconic Castlevania series with its Metroidvania style gameplay and 2.5D visuals, Bloodstained enjoyed a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015 and has raised a whopping $5.5m to date from 65k backers. An early demo of the game has already been impressing backers and fans alike.

Although a release date for Bloodstained has yet to be announced, the game is now in full production for PS4, PSV, WiiU, Xbox One and OSX and will be published by 505 Games.
