EA has released a new video for Battlefield 1, focused on the weapons that players will be able to use in-game when Battlefield 1 officially launches worldwide on October 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
In the video, DICE staff discusses the depth of research that has gone into designing and replicating weapons and artillery used throughout the great war, we even get to see some of the games actual weapons in action as developers get to grips with mounted heavy machine guns and clubs.
DICE are not looking to recreate the past but rather use it as an “inspiration“, creating an authentic feel and look with the development of Battlefield 1 and its weapons. “World War 1 was the birth of a lot of the things that we take for granted in modern warfare, all of these tools were created for a special purpose,” said Design Director at DICE, Lars Gustavsson.
Fans will reportedly be able to get their hands on Battlefield 1’s demo across all platforms shortly after Gamescom finishes, with Rush mode confirmed to feature.
