Allison Road Was Cancelled After Split From Publisher Team17, Says Lilith Games

Recently, we reported that Lilith Game’s first person survival horror game, Allison Road had been cancelled. Taking to social media almost 2 weeks ago, the developers broke the news on Twitter promising a statement would be released soon regarding the situation.

Two days ago the developers delivered on that very statement citing a split between themselves and publishers, Team17 as the reason for the game’s cancellation.

During the statement, Lilith Games gave no word on whether they had any plans to reignite Allison Road at some point in the future but thanked fans for their support.

After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label.
Sometime things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity… We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated!

Allison Road originally began life on Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter with a campaign cancelled after the development team signed a publishing deal with Worm’s publisher, Team17. Often seen as a spiritual successor to Konami’s P.T, Allison Road showed real promise with its early footage.

I’m not saying I don’t appreciate the work they’ve done so far before it was canned. But to be honest we don’t this game anymore since a certain another first person horror game was announced a few days ago.
