Every future game published by Microsoft Studios will support the recently announced Xbox Play Anywhere, Windows & Devices Group CVP Yusuf Mehdi has confirmed.
Xbox Play Anywhere will debut this coming September with the launch of the Keiji Inafune produced, ReCore. Future games available through the recently announced initiative include Scalebound, Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War and Crackdown 3. Mehdi’s confirmation means that all currently unannounced titles like Halo 6 would be available on PC along with Xbox.
Microsoft first announced its new initiative ‘Xbox Play Anywhere’ during its E3 Briefing this past June in Los Angeles and will allow players to purchase a game digitally once and be able to play that title on both Windows 10 PC and Xbox One with shared progress, shared game saves and shared achievements.
In order to access the new option players will need to have updated their PC with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update while installing the Summer Update on Xbox One. Currently, 12 games have been confirmed for Xbox Play Anywhere, that list can be seen below.
